Custom fields
Your own information on sites, third parties and requirements: contract number, cost centre, internal contact… Owner and administrators only.
Creating and managing a field
“Add a field” under Sites, Third parties or Requirements: name, identifier (lowercase letters, digits and _, cannot be changed afterwards), type (short text, long text, number, amount, date, yes / no, single or multiple choice, email, phone, link) and, for a choice, the list of values. A “Required” field is asked for the next time an item is edited; until then, an item without a value carries the “Incomplete” badge. 50 active fields at most per kind of item. “Archive” hides the field and keeps its values; “Restore” brings it back. A temporary access does not see email and phone values, but reads the other types: do not put personal contact details in them.

Changing the type of a field
Edit › Change type converts the values already entered, for example text into a date or a list. The preview shows converted values and those that cannot be, with the reason; tick “Empty” to clear them, otherwise the conversion is refused. Each item keeps its former value in its history.
